I have another couple shots looking through a tree up at the sky, and then another looking from that tree to a portion of the lake my aunt has a cabin on.

Waiting to post those two.

Also on tap, her family. So that probably put some extra emphasis on the decision.

Your photo really helps me understand why she feels that way. I've lived most of my life in or on the edge of a temperate rain forest, so the vast majority of trees in my natural landscapes are evergreens. Evergreens don't have a very impressive autumn.

I adore images like this. I opened it in a new tab to see a larger version and was totally immersed. The colors. The patterns of the veins.
