Guess I'll cut cable TV - $$$$

My Comcast cable just went up $30 a month with no explanation.
They told me when I called to ask, "That's the current rate for your plan".

I have basic internet and very basic cable TV.
Price went from $97 a month to $127.

If I keep the internet (which I will) it'll be about $60 a month.

I may add that DirecTV NOW for $40.
It'll give me 65 channels.

My Wi-FI is 67. Add Netflix and Hulu right around 85 total for the month. I watch Maddow the next day on the NBC app for Roku.
Been using a ROKU device for 4 years. Youtube Roku, plenty of tutorials.

A individuals age had absolutely nothing to do with the OP or discussion of what services they use for tv or internet.

I find the thought that it does and your comment exceptionally rude.

I'll tell you one thing, if you get something to stream DirectTV Now with, and you happen to have an old antenna around, do yourself a favor and just look at what the channels look like through a cheap $15 Radio Shack antenna before you set up the Roku or Fire Stick or whatever. The clarity through an OTR antenna is *amazing*. You'll realize how Comcast has been compressing your channels for years.

I stream everything through my OTR antenna and then through my Tivo, which splits into four signals, but with just the antenna, the pictures were stunning. But I have to be able to DVR things.

YouTube Peter Carcione who explains things really well. You need to get an internet box like a Zoomtak K3 or even a firestick, and Carcione will have a YouTube on how to load stuff up on it.

Also, do you have an Android phone or tablet ?
