Why doesn't CNN show regular news and shows "special series"

instead of news around the country and the world when it doesn't involve US politics or a mass shooting or natural disasters in the US? Is it ALL about ratings and $$$ instead of current events? I have seen reruns of "The 80s", "The 90s", etc for years yet have to turn on PBS to watch current, real news and it isn't on 24/7 when I can watch.

Presidents Lies, was good. MSNBC does this as well. Only occasionally do they air specials like, the Uraine scandal. Makes me nuts, they are missing an opportunity here.

Cable "News" is Infotainment and not journalism. They are there to fill airtime between ads for drugs we never knew we needed.

Than MSNBC does, but my problem with CNN is something that bothers me even more. And that is their fear of looking too liberal, of trying to show both sides without pointing out how ludicrous and anti-Democratic the rights positions are.

I think they are on overnight on weekends now.
I agree that those decade series on CNN have pretty much run their course.
