Petition to boot Meghan McCain off 'The View'
Some fans are clamoring to put Meghan McCain in the rear “View.” A recent change.org petition is calling on ABC to replace the conservative combatant on the long-running gabfest with Republican political commentator and guest panelist Ana Navarro or former co-host Jedediah Bila.
The petition is seeking 1,500 signatures, but had already snagged more than 1,400 signers, as of late Tuesday afternoon.
Not only has McCain sparred verbally with her left-leaning co-stars Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, but has been rebuked by “View” political guests, such as presidential hopefuls Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar and California Sen. Kamala Harris.
The 35-year-old daughter of former Arizona Sen. John McCain has become more visibly frustrated on “The View” in recent months. During a spirited free-for-all on Dec. 16?s episode, Goldberg exclaimed, “Girl, please stop talking!” McCain assumed she was the the object of Goldberg’s consternation and huffed, “No problem. No problem. I won’t talk for the rest of the show.”
