It will either be really bad or somewhat good. At least it doesn't seem to be a reality show, so there's that. I'm going to DVR it, and hope for the best.

From what I've read, it's a scripted drama, and is slated for a 9-week run. I don't know if that means it will be a mini-series, or if they just contracted 9 episodes to see how well it does before ordering more. The showrunner and writer is Michael Hirst. He was also the creator of Showtime's The Tudors, and Starz's one-season Camelot, so I am unsure if this is a good sign or a bad sign, but will check it out anyway.

But then, I'm a sucker for period dramas, and anything Arthurian. It's about a very young, untried Arthur who is just realizing who and what he is. He's a teenager in this series, with everything that goes along with that. There's a brooding, young Merlin played by Joseph Fiennes, and a kick-ass Morgan Le Fay. She's the best part about it. It wasn't great, but it was fun if you like this sort of thing. IMO anyhow.

It was kinda surprising. The last I heard was that it wasn't 'officially' canceled, but production was 'suspended,' whatever that means. Evidently, they wanted to leave the door open to bring it back, or do a movie or something. But that's the last I heard about it. They may have gone ahead and pulled the plug 'officially' by now.

Starz has a ton of new shows in development that all sound potentially interesting, though. I have a list of them somewhere. I'll look for it and post it later maybe.

I'll probably dvr the first few episodes and see what it's like. Really like Jessalyn Gilsig, and well, who doesn't like Gabriel Byrne...
