and they seriously overdid the "film noir" thing...to the point where often, I could not even make out facial features...or see much at all..

I actually started watching it like a radio show..not even bothering to look up that much..

Perhaps the new season will show a little more light

I agree it was way too dark. I complained to my husband about it through the whole season.

Have to admit though, if they were going for depressing they hit the mark.

I'm sure Seattle can string together two or three weeks of rain in the right time of year.

What killed me was thinking about the actors playing Rosie's family having to deal with that kind of grief for the length of the show's production.
