The writers need to get something moving.
Maybe Edith will have to join Gregson in Germany. The writers haven't really revealed what year it is, have they? But we can't be too far away from Hitler's rise to power.

I think one of the characters made a reference to the 20's last week. The war has only been over for a few years.

Ignored all newsy stuff, but they would not be able to ignore the big crash.

I was wondering how close they are to the political rise of the Nazi party in the late 1920's. I don't think hitler was a household name yet, but that organization was growing. I think he became president or chancellor around 1932 or 33.

All of that will certainly affect Edith and Michael Gregson.
