Another good episode and another bad decision on who to vote out. Plus, the Brains have a chance here!
After losing yet another member and finally voting out the right one, the Brains return from tribal having ousted J'Tia. Spencer was obviously glad and did his cheerleader team first routine, but I am sure he will flip of these two ladies at some point. Maybe soon! We get to the RC and Jeff says, "drop you buffs." Tribal switching right, too early for a merge. Well, sort of. Instead of switching and having three tribes, the nerds are essentially getting their tribe destroyed and will draw with everyone else to firm two new tribes at the other two camps. !
Wow, that did not go well for Beauty and it went VERY well for the former brawn tribe, or so it seemed. One tribe is decidedly undersized as all three brains join Alexis, Morgan, Jeremiah and and Sarah. But it is 3 brains, 3 beauty and one former jock, the gullible cop Sarah.
On the other tribe, its the rest of the jocks along with Jefra and LJ. This was a fun challenge and it showed the dominant strength the one tribe had. Team mostly jocks only lost one round, when Tasha held on tight. Otherwise, the jocks kicked butt and won.
Once back at camp, Trish and LJ talk and Trish makes it clear she likes LJ. Sarah ousts Morgan on the rice thing. Oh well, it was bound to come out. Alexis tries to use this to her advantage and get the brains to her side, but she sounds like she is a popular girl in school complaining about the other pretty girls. Not well thought out. Seems like the nerds are in a position of power now. If they stay together.
The IC was great. It had a long log with tribal carvings on it. Fist you use it to smash through walls and then weave it along the tribal markings which are actually a puzzle. Team mostly jocks easily won the wall part, but could not get the puzzle right. Did the brains finally get a chance to use their smarts, looks like it. YES. They win and its the heavily jock team going to tribal.
Now LJ knows he is probably on the outs with it being 5-2 there. Trish tells LJ she wants Cliff out and that she has Tony's vote. With them and the two former hotties, its 4-3 to vote out Cliff. The back and forth of what Tony will do is shown. He waivers and wants to get LJ out first. At tribal, its clear to me its CLiff. I think it was a bad call. Next vote they could have gotten out Cliff and gotten rid of someone whom Trish has an alliance with and had a weaker player in the game. Now they ousted their best overall physical threat, who was not a good player overall. He could have been ousted later easily. I think it was a bad call. I would have let Cliff stay til the merge and let everyone get rid of him. Oh well.

(20,805 posts)...I thought for sure that L.J. was going to be the latest dummy in a series of Survivor dummies that went home with an immunity idol in their pocket...shows you what I know!!!
I think getting rid of Cliff was an excellent move by Trish, and shows that she has more pull in that tribe than many think..whether it was a good move for the tribe overall we'll just have to see...
The next big move should be a blindside against Tony, which is doable especially as Woo just found out that his alliance with the other ex-Brawns is as shaky as a Philippine weather forecast, but that is all dependent upon how the future challenges go..
Good to see the Brains engineer a win...should solidify their position in that new tribe...
The Trish vs. Tattooed Dreadlock-wearing hairstylist (Oh, and really, you are a professional hair stylist and you wear Dreadlocks...?? Oooooookay.....) angst looks like it could be interesting next week too...
Loving this season so far..

(30,736 posts)I hope the others see it soon. She is no asset to the tribe.
I have mixed feelings about booting Cliff. He could have been useful in a few more physical challenges. I think Tony should go soon. Time will tell.
