2. Loving Murder in the First.

Taye Diggs was awesome in "Private Practice," which was a crappy show. This is a better role for him.

Mixed feelings about "Black Box." Kelly Reilly is like, wow, but her portrayal of effects of meds is pretty bogus. The medical issues they present are insulting. But I like the interplay of personal and professional relationships.

The pleasant surprise for me has been "Major Crimes." I did not for a moment think that Captain Raydor could successfully replace Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson of "The Closer," but she has proven to be delightfully equal to the task.

3. Major Crimes is great.

I also doubted she could replace Kyra Sedgwick. I heard they were trying to follow up on the great storyline of the Philip Stroh case and bring Brenda back in as well as Billy Burke. That would be great.
