Arizona Governor loses again on SB1070

It is hard to keep up with the harebrained antics of the Arizona GOP legislature and its foggy governor, Jan Brewer. The Republicans can pass bills and she can sign them faster than the public can keep up with their blunderings. Like SB-1070, which was ramrodded through by ousted and disgraced state Sen. Russell Pearce and happily signed by Jan Brewer. Little by little the courts have pecked away at the bill until all that's left is what the police have been doing all along.

The most recent is 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals which said that Arizona cannot enforce the provision preventing day-laborers to congregate in places to be picked up for work. The state said it was a safety hazard but the Court said laws are already on the books to prevent that and that SB-1070 targeted undocumented immigrants. Another of our state government village idiots, Tom Horne, says he expects the case to be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. More taxpayer dollars down the drain.
