5. I hope it the start of the summer rains - monsoon

a little early but coming up from the right direction and the whole picture the last few weeks has been good - very hot and dry, today we have humidity up and thunder heads all around. I can smell moisture. It has not rained for a couple of months and essentially since last September.

13. It's a few weeks early

But I hope you're right even though the swamper isn't working right here in NM. So far the storms have made it go from hot to hot and soggy.

6. Monsoon season

It's not 'official', yet. Apparently, we have to wait until some doofus weather person that's never seen rain before get stuck in a downpour before it's 'official'.

2. Of course.

I just spent $350 on the swamp cooler.

Well, let's hope it's a good one. I've been disappointed the past 5 years or so.

Once again, for the Southwest's listening pleasure, I present JACKYL!!!! (Seriously, give 'em some LOVE!!!)

8. No problem.

I'll make plans for a BBQ while I'm at it. If I remember, I'll leave all the windows open and then leave for the day. That's always a guarantee.

4. We had a nice shower last night.

I was out in my shop at the time so I went outside and stood in the rain for awhile. Here's hoping your rains start soon.

12. Sunny here in Toronto. Sunny Tomorrow, then three days of rain.

High today 23C, will be 12C overnight, not too hot the rest of the week. It's been a cool June, and I'm grateful. I hate the heat.

28. Which is why I have no intention of living further south than this, thank you.

I spend immense amounts on air conditioning, nothing at all on heating.

15. Oh, yeah....

Storm clouds spread out on the horizon, palpable humidity, I can even SMELL the rain. They're coming.
And when they do, I'll tear off my clothes and go running around the back yard with loud cries of jubilation!
Huzzah!

24. I love Arizona monsoon

I used to sit on my balcony and watch storms march down off the Rincon Mountains, with lightening hitting the ground at the rate of about 20-30 bolts per minute. Beautiful.
