2. Even in support roles,

women are still in combat. What's the difference?

4. Well, Newt seemed to think

it was a problem because "women get infections and they don't have much upper-body strength" (that in one sentence, thereby tying two completely different irrelevant nonsenses together).

As a woman and a vet, I certainly don't think there's any difference.

5. You cannot measure heart

We need to get away from generalizations of what people can and can't do, stop putting ceilings on potential.

Thank you for your service.

6. To be honest,

my upper body strength has never been good . . . but that's just me! As you said, generalizations are ridiculous.

And you're welcome (but thanks aren't necessary, imo - we all do something that benefits others, don't we? )

7. I'd like to hope so haha

Even Ted Cruz helped someone (Koch) by shutting down the government.

Stay safe

8. I think we're pretty much past the point where we care what the hell Newt thinks, aren't we?

10. Of course.

It was an ironic comment - not sure how it turned into a discussion point.

3. Wonder what Leviticus says about this.

Unclean women cannot do lots of things according to the Bible. What makes them unclean? Just the fact that they are women?

Silly bullshit if you ask me.

Too bad this rubbish leaks into culture. People are people, no matter their gender.

9. Story time, y'all

One of my best friends in the L.A. days was an equally tiny but far prettier young lady who worked as an official police bodyguard for visiting dignitaries from far and wide. Linda had exquisite manners and looked like arm candy but she could beat the crap out of almost anybody, and I can testify to that because I saw her do it in full contact karate tournaments.
