Joe Arpaio framed an innocent man for a non-existent assassination plot to boost his campaign

LiterallySlanderHat Retweeted:

I need to get this off my chest. ~19% of Arizona GOP voters voted for Arpaio, a man who actually framed an innocent person for an attempted assassination that caused that man to spend 4 years in jail. Another 28% voted for Kelli Ward and her insanity.

Every now and then I like to remind everyone that Joe Arpaio framed an innocent man for a non-existent assassination plot in order to boost his reelection campaign. The man spent four years behind bars, sued Maricopa County, and taxpayers footed the seven-figure settlement bill.

Could you link me to that? Given joes character it’s all too believable, but this is a new story to me

he lost several times over in court.

His refusal to investigate sex crimes against undocumented immigrant children should consign him to a very special place in Hell, never seemed to bother anyone who voted for him over thirty years.

I hope now that he has lost his bid to further damage Maricopa County, he will just go away.

At 86, why can't he just quietly retire ? FFS, Joe, learn to fly fish or something.
