3.1 earthquake confirmed near Flagstaff

Fox 10 news is my source. I never hear of this before in AZ but I'm sure it happens.

1. is there fracking there? Oklahoma has lots of quakes now because of that..

...oh I just checked my Quake app..Az 's quake was 3.1 and just NOW Oklahoma had a 3.1. coincidence.?????I think NOT!

3. There's a fault line up there. Nothing to do with fracking

Earthquakes aren't super regular, but they aren't uncommon, but not particularly strong. I felt a few when I was going to school up there, mostly just window rattling, and I've felt a few in Phoenix as well.

2. few years ago I was shaken almost out of bed while I was living in Benson AZ

Having lived in CA for many years (including the Loma Prieta quake) I thought "That felt like an earthquake... but it can't be... I'm in Ari-fing-zona!"... but it was... over near Wilcox.

4. I think that's the biggest we've had here in my lifetime

I was working in a high rise in Phoenix and we felt the building sway.

5. About 100 years ago there was a major

quake in AZ that swallowed up a lake that been the object of contention between two groups. Thatís all I remember and itís too late to look it up. Maybe tomorrow
