The Arizona Black Rodeo returned to Rawhide in Chandler on Saturday, attracting more than 9,000 rodeo fans.
The rodeo, which takes place each year, has been committed to keeping the contributions of African-American Western heritage alive through this family-oriented event.
The event focused on local and national African-American rodeo competitors taking part in bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, steer undecorating, barrel racing, relay races, mutton bustin' and a calf scramble.
