Kyrsten Sinema has the guts to take on the tough fights for the 9th District.

Hey DUers!

Arizona made the national news last week when Sheriff Joe Arpaio released the results of his "investigation" into the President's birth certificate.

But our state also made the national news this morning, when the New York Times profiled some of the people in Arizona who were strong enough to fight back against Arpaio's anti-immigrant tactics. One of those folks recognized for taking a stand is Kyrsten Sinema.

... one of the few bright lights was Kyrsten Sinema, who as a state senator gave a blistering critique of S.B. 1070, the state’s radical, Arpaio-inspired immigration law. (She sponsored several bills to rein in the abuses of Sheriff Arpaio and his ally Mr. Thomas, the county attorney, though her colleagues didn’t go along.) Ms. Sinema, who is a lawyer and on the faculty of the Arizona State University School of Social Work, debated the law for hours with its sponsor, Russell Pearce, ruthlessly exposing its many legal flaws.

Kyrsten Sinema has the guts to take on the tough fights. That's what we need more of in Congress. Won't you please contribute $25, $50 or $100 today?

Not everyone has shown the courage of their convictions. One of our opponents refused to take a position on SB1070 when he was asked. (This moment, called 'wishy washy' by the Arizona Republic, was captured on video.) http://images.myngp.com/LinkTracker.aspx?crypt=IVi0ax2%2b6UBSinc%2fCPYaKXl3PCk5JLVkdSXdAcKBAHBRySTfSl3SEUKl6Pugjg%2fq980s50XQeDyAvSz63kO%2fbLwnEgpWxhtiLNGt0aVfzl6AfJF%2feCdQ86PMdjrT7fO6DQST1czm4e8%3d

Kyrsten has the courage to stand up, to fight back, to do the right thing--even when it isn't politically expedient.

Won't you stand with her?

Sincerely,

Rodd McLeod

Dropped off a $25 check this morning. I am concerned about who she will be facing in November. Which of the rethugs will she be running against and of those, who do we need to worry about.

who actually went in for me. We are 2 blocks from a high school and yard signs tend to disappear from any yard that has one.
