I feel bad for clerks and workers in stores here in Arizona now

Ever since Governor Ice Cream Scoop rescinded the mask mandate, the looks on their faces when dealing with these COVIdiots has been tear enducing.

They feel helpless, they shy away, and they act as they are powerless. It is as though the wind had been knocked out of their sails.

And while I know that using the phrases in this post are not politically acceptable to some, I doubt, even if he lived in my LD, Gov. Fudge Ripple, his followers, or those screaming their rights about mask mandates would even consider voting for me.

2. I would wear a face shield AND a mask

Just to make a point. Iíve seen that with retail workers here (PA) and this part of the state is virtually all compliant with mask wearing.

7. Most still do, but now we can find the Trump followers much easier than before

Because they are the ones that are lauding Governor Moose Trax and his desire to return AZ to the darkest days.

3. I am so very glad I live in New Mexico.

Our governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, has done a very good job of keeping the state closed down as needed. Now, most of the state is turquoise on the color-coded rating system, including Santa Fe, where I am. It's also doing the very best job of any state at getting the vaccine out.

I got mine, the J&J one and done, yesterday. Hooray!

5. Not in Arizona. Governor Ice Cream took away the ability to fine enforce it.

It's now "optional," and any business or municipality that "requires" can be fined.

Even at my gym, masks are optional now. I wear one all the time, until I am lifting, then I take if off, do my set, and put it back. Due to a few childhood illnesses, I have diminished lung capacity, which is why my workouts are really abbreviated.

8. Individual businesses can decide whether to require masks.

Arizona counties, cities and towns can no longer enforce their mask mandates, except in government buildings and on public transportation.

There's a federal order that requires masks be worn at airports and stations and on planes, trains, buses and other public transportation anywhere in the U.S. Uber and Lyft also require drivers and passengers to wear masks.

In his tweet outlining the lift in restrictions, Ducey encouraged Arizonans to continue personal COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

"Practice the fundamentals. Wear a mask, practice physical distancing, stay home when sick, wash your hands frequently AND roll up your sleeve and get the vaccine ó it's safe, effective and free," he wrote.
