Sarah Sanders' potential candidacy irks Tim Griffin

A potential 2022 run for Arkansas governor by Sarah Huckabee Sanders continues to draw press attention, including this from CBS News that says allies have been polling her chances in Arkansas.

Bottom line (from the undoubtedly Sanders-friendly tipsters who fed this story to CBS): She’d “crush” any potential Republican rivals, including Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin, who’s been campaigning steadily. This was the noteworthy tidbit (but, again, I’d caution to consider who CBS’ sources might be):

Griffin, the current lieutenant governor and a likely 2022 gubernatorial candidate, has been angrily calling contacts in Washington and Arkansas, fuming over Sander’s possible entrance into the race, according to sources who have received his calls.

Sanders insists she’s a couple of years away from making a decision. (But wouldn’t it be handy if surrogates could talk her into a certainty come the day?)

I’ll just say this about the Sanders boomlet: Sanders hasn’t spent much time in Arkansas in recent times and her involvement in state government has been scant. But she’s been working for someone who proves knowledge of government and administrative skills are not necessarily required for successful political races. Lack of honesty doesn’t seem to be an impediment to election, either, so her work in defending Trump’s dishonesty might not hinder success in Trump-friendly Arkansas.
