At the California Democratic Convention in San Jose

What an insane event! Lots of security, because Vice President Biden was here earlier in the afternoon (his keynote address was excellent and funny, by the way!)

Lots of enthusiasm on both sides for both Loretta Sanchez and Kamala Harris. As for the Presidential race...Sanders seems to have more support and enthusiasm at this convention than Clinton, though both have a lot of supporters here.

My only complaint is about how disorganized the convention has been...I don't think they were expecting or were ready for this crowd! Very long lines, lots of security...ugh! Oh well, it's still a great, fun event!

1. I see that Kamala Harris was endorsed for Senate

I've donated to Loretta Sanchez for a long time; she certainly has her detractors, but I'll continue to contribute to her. I like her right where she is, in the House of Representatives.

I've been a Kamala Harris admirer for a long time- I'm glad to see she's getting the nod to run for Senate. I'm very sorry to lose Barbara Boxer, but she deserves her time in the sun. How frustrating it must have been to be a liberal Democratic California Senator throughout all these years of insanity and obstruction.
