Related: About this forumGreat white shark leaps from water at Ocean Beach in SF
http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Great-white-shark-Ocean-Beach-SF-leaps-air-video-9225829.phpThe water at San Francisco's Ocean Beach Wednesday morning was glassy with three-foot waves rolling in when a great white shark leapt into the air.
Local surfer Nick Masturzo reportedly spotted the giant fish as he was paddling on his board at exactly 8:46 a.m. yesterday.
"When I saw that white belly go up and the super defined white of pectoral fins I knew what it was," Masturzo told Surfline.com. "I told everyone around me and went in. It was funny, some people were saying, 'that's not cool,' but I would never say 'shark' on a small day to try to clear the water. If it was six-to-eight-foot, maybe."
The moment was captured by Surfline's Cam Rewind and the video has been shared on Surfline.com where other surfers are sharing similar run-ins with sharks.

If this was a Sharks publicity stunt, a) hockey season doesn't start until next month, and b) San Jose is all the way down at the shallow end of the Bay.
