and now I'm on email lists (no big deal, just unsubscribe) *and* phone call fundraising efforts, which I do not appreciate. I am not stingy; I donate what I feel comfortable with. If I wanted to donate more, I would. This, in fact, is why I stopped giving to NPR--they wouldn't leave me alone!

If I enter a fake phone number on the donation form, will it still work? Many require a phone number before they will accept your money.

It seems to me the people fundraisers ought to be going after are people who are registered to vote but do not donate to candidates. Likewise, if I donate to public radio, that's what I can give--call someone who doesn't donate.
