(92,115 posts)releasing it earlier. Of course, ignoring the fact that the person involved did NOT want her name to be public, and ignoring what happened to Anita Hill.
Feinstein strategically did the right thing releasing it at the 11th hour with the intention of putting DOUBT in people's minds before the vote.
Releasing it two months ago, nothing would have happened, and it would have been forgotten by now. Because the vote is coming up soon it will be impossible not to be aware of it.
Regardless, California wants Senator Feinstein according to the polls, and I am so f**king sick and tired of some here that try to paint her as some right wing ideologue, without any idea what she has done from women's rights, healthcare, gun control etc.
When she was Mayor in San Francisco after the Moscone and Milk killings, she brought the city back from one of its lowest points.
During the aids epidemic, NOT only did she lead the charge nationwide, but approved every monetary expenditure from the board of supervisors to fight the epidemic.
