1. We have a winter storm warning in San Diego, too with

2 inches of rain in places (a lot for a desert climate), snow in the mountains and likely coastal flooding and erosion. But we really need the rain to reduce our fire risk and keep our trees and wildlife alive so glad to see this.

3. Since we haven't had more than 1/2 inch all season

most of it will be runoff (damn). Be careful...first real rain means oil on the freeways.
