Covered California rates going up for 2020

Our HMO is increasing 12.45%, to a monthly premium of $1743.00! That’s the “cheap” plan with insane deductibles for two people.

California where the cost of living is significantly higher, and with what happened in 2016, with the slow whittling away of the ACA, it didn’t take rocket science to predict this

This was one of the Governor’s campaign promises, so let’s see if he does something

4. We need price controls on health care

I think every other country limits costs. Why can’t we limit fees. In Japan doctors have a thick book with maximum price for thousands of medical services. Stitch up to three inches $25. Up to 8 inches $60. Etc.

5. Inflation is less than 2%...so why the increase?

They just made my life Hell for 2 months when they took away my insurance accidentally during an "upgrade" and couldn't figure out how to correct it, almost lost my Blue Shield over it!
