(17,467 posts)The photographer had to wait 348 days to catch the weather good enough to take the photos. There is a reason that there are more people of Scottish descent in the US than in Scotland.
My paternal family came from the Highlands. After years of genetic research I discovered that I am descended from a Scottish Viking known as Sven Skull-crusher, which probably explains why I sometimes get an overpowering desire to kill a monk, burn a church, and impale small children on a pike. It is not a character flaw, it is just genetics.
That is a pleasant looking bungalow. I wonder how far it is to Starbucks?

(22,885 posts)I've been to Scotland twice and it was literally like coming home. The weather suits me fine-- I abhor the heat.
I'll probably never get the chance to go there again, what with all that's happening. but at least I can dream!

(3,998 posts)Im of Danish and English extraction. Low 70s is warm enough for me, and here I am stuck in SoCal where it may hit 100° on Thursday. If I could move I would. Even the PNW would be nice.
