A large group of people flouted social distancing guidelines during a worship service at the Sundial Bridge in Redding, California, on July 22, local media reported.
The event was held by Hold the Line, a religious organization that has planned a #LetUsWorship tour through five cities in California, and was affiliated with the Redding-based Bethel Church School of Supernatural Ministry. However, Mike Mangas of KRCR reported that the church denied it was a sanctioned event. Local health officials were told it would be a small gathering, and therefore would not require a permit, Mangas wrote.
Leading the event was Hold the Line founder Sean Feucht, who describes himself online as a husband, father, missionary, musician, artist, speaker, author, activist, and the founder of multiple worldwide movements. He and a band are seen in this footage performing for the crowd.
The service drew hundreds of people, with many not wearing masks, according to local reports.
