SoCal earthquake: Preliminary 4.5 quake hits near San Fernando area

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A preliminary 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit the San Fernando area early Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit at about 4:30 a.m. The quake was centered north-northeast of San Fernando, USGS said.

A strong shaking was felt across the region.

It was not clear if there was any damage or injuries due to the quake.

I'm living pretty close to the epicenter. Not a nice way to wake up. ugh.
