Cal Dem Party Primary Recommendations

Hope this helps!

https://cadem.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/2022-Primary-Endorsements-Endorsed-Districts-Only-4_26_22.docx-1.pdf

Personally, I'm simply voting the party ticket. Many new names. Too much at stake.

Feinstein is not up for re-election this year so Padilla is listed twice for Full Term and Special (Partial / Unexpired Kamala Harris' term).

G. Newsom, Fiona Ma, Tony Thurmond, Alex Padilla, Rob Bonta - looks right to me.

3. I am a member of the Democratic Central Committee in my county. I am familiar with the candidates.

You can also check on endorsements if you're wondering who to select.

4. All I was saying is that "straight ticket" has more than one Dem in some categories.. being a primary

ONE VOTE only per category, voting straight ticket multi-Dems could get one's ballot tossed.

6. Are you talking about the California primary?

On edit: it’s pretty obvious that you vote for one person per race.

8. That is why I said to look at ENDORSEMENTS.

One could also do research when you get your booklet with the election information.

9. I went with Levine over Lara for Insurance Commissioner

Too many ethics issues surrounding Lara.

11. Only tonight have the serious attack ads on Rick Caruso showed up.

We've already voted. If you read about him in Wikipedia he is a registered Democrat. Attack ads say differently. I think he'll win. I just hope and pray he isn't another "you know who". As we live in the OC, we have no say. But it's a really big race, I think.

Fingers crossed Katie Porter will be our new rep.

12. Caruso is not good news, registered democrat or not.

I've heard for years how awful he is to work with, and how he steam rolls everything for big business development. I sincerely hope he doesn't win (worked on a project of his once many years ago).

13. The overwhelming number of positive ads are difficult to counter.

Cops have taken on Karen Bass. Her lawsuit is hardly a blip on the radar.

Real Estate developers are definitely a power block in CA politics. But he found a way to minimize that part of his resume.

I think he'll probably make it to November. Have there been debates?

14. Anyone have suggestions regarding Sheriff or Judges?

I'm disappointed in Villanueva but want a democrat.
