Oak Fire is cooling. Map Link in content

If you are interested, you'll need to grab the full URL to get to the proper map, not just the blue highlighted portion. Copy full link then go to a new web page and paste it in or "paste and go" works on some Windows..

This is a NASA site.

You will see the Legend indicating which colors are old flames and flair-ups.

News is getting better.

CalFire estimates containment on the 30th. That's a lot of burn time between now and then! However, the way CalFire works, is that they don't declare 100% containment until the fire is totally extinguished and every man and machine is back home and in place, otherwise as soon as they say 100% containment, all funding to move people and equipment completely stops.

So they will have containment soon. ( Fingers crossed)

1. I tried tinyurl to shorten the link.

Seems to work once you dismiss the front page with the infinite number of options.

What say?

2. Howdy, this link goes to the "simple" tab, one needs to click the ""Time Based" button to

get to the current map.

Otherwise all that Red looks really bad and it's inaccurate.
