Secession TeeVee

The CBS newsmagazine "Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood" came to town and filmed our public forum on the proposed 51st state. Afterward, they interviewed people on both sides of the issue, including some of those in our group who showed up early with signs and buttons and bumperstickers to voice our opposition.
The issue was first proposed by our all-GOP county commissioners, and two of them were on the panel. The opposition was represented by a political science professor and a water-rights lawyer (and you'd best believe that this secession discussion is very heavily involved with water issues). If you watch, listen for the one commissioner's repeated mispronunciation of secession -- she calls it succession, a completely valid word with an ironically different meaning entirely.
