3rd Alarm Fire Destroys Historic Barn At UConn
A fire engulfed and destroyed a historic barn used for landscaping at UConn's main campus in Storrs late Monday.
The building, located on Horse Barn Hill Road, partially collapsed and is not salvageable., University of Connecticut spokesperson Stephanie Reitz said.
There are no reports of injuries, Reitz said.
"Our UConn dairy cows and other animals are in barns elsewhere on Horse Barn Hill and aren't endangered, although we have taken precautions to ensure their safety," she said.
