Bluegrass Country Going Off Air at 105.5 MHz

I rewrote the title so that it more closely resembles something in the English language.

From http://DCRTV.com:

Bluegrass Country Loses 105.5 - 5/23 - Bluegrass Country will be losing its Bethesda-based low-power 105.5 analog signal on June 21. According to a statement at bluegrasscounry.org, "The 105.5 FM signal is owned by a third party with whom were unable, despite our best efforts, to reach a contract agreement going forward." The Americana bluegrass and folk music service will continue to be heard on WAMU 88.5's digital HD2 signal, streaming at bluegrasscountry.org, and via its apps for iOS and Android devices. "About two thirds of our listeners already hear our broadcast via HD and the internet," the statement adds. "While the loss of 105.5 FM is frustrating, we remain in business and are committed to bringing you the bluegrass and roots music you love to hear." American University's WAMU turned over operation of its Bluegrass Country operation to the locally-based and newly-formed Bluegrass Country Foundation earlier this year. At that time, WAMU also said that it would eventually drop BGC from its digital signal, but apparently that move has been delayed.....
