Man Pleads Guilty In Fatal Stabbing Of Logan Circle Runner

The man suspected of fatally stabbing a D.C. woman who was jogging in Logan Circle last September pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in a District court on Friday.
A police investigation concluded that Anthony Crawford, 23, stabbed Wendy Martinez seven times at the intersection of 11th and P street on the evening of September 13, 2018.
If the court approves Crawford’s plea deal, he will face 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jesse Liu announced.

Crawford’s sentencing is scheduled for September 13, 2019.
