Hundreds of Trump supporters rally for embattled president on Capitol grounds
The House impeachment inquiry into whether Trump abused his office by pressuring Ukraine to investigate a political rival is dismissed by many as a coup attempt

Several hundred Trump supporters massed at the Capitol on Thursday to show support for the embattled president and denounce efforts to remove him from office.
The Stop Impeachment Now! rally brought together by Women for Trump founder Amy Kremer took aim at the impeachment inquiry undertaken by Democratic members of Congress. The investigation is attempting to determine whether President Trump abused his office by pressuring Ukraine into opening a criminal investigation into a political rival.
[Pence, Giuliani refuse to cooperate with impeachment inquiry]
Several speakers, including House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), said the impeachment effort suggests Democrats intend to use Congress to remove the president because they fear another possible loss at the ballot box next year. Some characterized the process as an attempted coup.
....
Meg Fisher, 64, who owns a landscaping business in Chicago, said Trump has said things that seemed shocking or offensive to her since taking office, but that outrageous and unrestrained style was also why she and many supporters liked him.
Hes a normal person. People say offensive things to me all the time. I dont attack them. I turn the other cheek. Hes not politically correct hes just correct, Fisher said. She credited Trump administration policies for a strong economy that has allowed her to take home more pay and pay her workers more while excusing his inability to carry through on some promises such as building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border as the fault of opponents.
If he had Congress on his side, hed have the wall done, Fisher said.

Women for Trump? A rally and a mystery I wanted to solve.
By Petula Dvorak, Columnist

The women at the foot of the U.S. Capitol wore a smattering of red Make America Great Again hats. ... Herds of school kids passing by, in their matching field-trip T-shirts, threatened to outnumber the few hundred or so rallygoers, described by one blogger as an ocean of MAGA caps. ... The March for Trump, organized by Women for Trump, was more like a puddle.
But I wanted to mingle with these folks. ... I wanted to hear from the women waving the big pink Women for Trump flags or wearing the Women for Trump hats. They are the WFTs. And though others may assemble those three letters differently when describing their movement, I wanted to hear why they remain die-hards in a dwindling minority. ... Because there was no denying it the crowd was tiny. Ive covered 20 years of marches in Washington from the World Bank protests at the turn of the century to 2017s ocean-of-pink Womens March and this gathering was barely there.
....
Each of the speakers looked upon the small crowd and marveled at its spirit. ... The rallys size, though? ... There would be a lot more of us here if that didnt happen, a woman who drove in from Chantilly, Va., told me. ... What happened? A conspiracy, natch.
Organizers said bus companies across the nation canceled the buses hired to bring supporters to the nations capital. ... We feel this was done intentionally and will be issuing a statement at a later time, Kremer said in a statement posted on the March for Trumps Facebook page.
From bus stations in Pennsylvania to a Walmart parking lot in North Carolina, Trump supporters said they were left in the cold and dark early Thursday, waiting for buses that didnt show up. ... The president they think they have a man who will unite our country and treat everyone with respect he hasnt shown up, either.

The Daily Beast reports:
A couple hundred Donald Trump fans rallied outside Congress on Thursday for the March for Trump, an event meant to oppose House Democrats impeachment investigation. According to organizers, though, there would have been hundreds more people shouting stop the coup in Washingtons streets if not for a liberal plot against their buses.
Thats because, as would-be rally attendees gathered across the East Coast for the US Coachways buses that the organizer had promised would take them to Washington, those buses never showed. The no-shows provoked a wave of anger, accusations that the deep state had colluded to stop a show of Trump support in Washington, and bad reviews aimed at US Coachways.
But US Coachways has a simpler explanation for what happenedit was never paid for the requested buses due to a series of declined credit card payments. We want to get people down there, Joseph Heap, US Coachways chief marketing officer, told The Daily Beast. But unfortunately, payment is required.

misogynists can be women almost as easily as men. These women hate women, love a "strong" man, and hate intellectuals just like their male brethren. They want to own the libs and are as vicious and nasty as any man.

When I used to talk to the deplorables, the woman were far more likely to use the "lack of manhood" line of personal attack.
