Snow expected to continue through late night with wind gusts of 40-50 mph.

Heavy snow bands, which could remain stationary for hours, have established north and west of D.C. These areas are likely to receive more than 2 feet of snow and possibly up to 3 feet at higher elevations.

My significant other is an RN at Hopkins and is stranded there because she worked night shift last night. At least I know she is safe.
