slow getting doses but that this was changing quickly and in a matter of weeks they would be up to a constant supply of full doses.

I think Joe is addressing the supply issues and doing it very well.

Publix had given DeSantis two donations of $50k and a week later became administrator for the vaccine program. It caused quite a stir, to say the least.

My guess is they are giving them to their corporate vendors and not keeping much for the public and that's why I couldn't get an appt. with them. At least that's the case in NE FL, other areas may be better?

The bigger problem is that there is not a single company that can provide services everywhere in the state. Publix, CVS, Walgreen, etal, don't have stores in every county, and even if they did those stores may be inaccessible for many. Also looked at were smaller multiple-store establishments in the areas not covered by the larger chains. There are still gaps. Where a large part of the problem remains is that DeSantis and the republicans have had a year to work out the logistics of making the vaccine available, but here we are. There were at least 10 counties totally without plans the last I read, and they are in the northern parts of the state.

Feb. 23, my husband and I get our vaccinations.

I'd also signed up with the local health department clinic. Tomorrow I plan to see if there is a way to take our names off their list so they don't waste time trying to call us for appointments.

Here in Leon County, Publix, Walmart, and a few pharmacies are giving vaccinations, but when I checked Monday not a single one of the locations listed had any appointments listed.
