Florida man shoots stepson in argument over chili dog, police say

PORT ORANGE, Florida -- A Florida man reportedly told police he had reached his "last straw" with his stepson, shooting and killing him after arguments over a chili dog and the time.

Danny Holder, 68, was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder in the death of this stepson, Randall Lowen, 55, according to News 6.

Family members tell the Daytona Beach News-Journal that Holder and Lowen both drank and argued frequently.

Police say the two men argued Monday night over a chili dog and Holder threatened to shoot Lowen. Holder's wife, Jackie Holder, 75, told police she hid Holder's firearm in a drawer, the News-Journal reports.
