Delta Airlines wins $6M judgment against Orlando businessman

Delta Airlines has won a $6 million judgment against Orlando businessman Douglas Mark Fletcher, in a lawsuit that accused Fletcher of using Delta’s logo to sell fake vacation packages.

The judgment against Fletcher is the latest in a series of lawsuits Delta, and American Airlines, have filed against ripoff travel planning companies that use airline logos to attract victims, according to the litigation.

In 2015, Delta got a $22 million judgment in a 2013 case against dozens of defendants. The Orlando case, filed two years ago, targeted a group of local residents for selling fake vacation packages across the nation from a downtown Orlando office building.

The suit said the Orlando operators used various names, including BookitDiscountClub.com, Tours R Us Special Vacations, Full Moon Travel and First Travel Services.
