That has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard him utter. I know, I know... there are a lot of stupid remarks to rank but this one has got to be in the top 10.

If trump thinks that terrorists or mass shooters in general (political or religiously motivated or not) think that a swift trial and execution would deter others from the path of terrorism... then he simply doesn't grasp how the vast majority of these attacks end.

They usually end on the day of the act, either with the perpetrator killing themselves or being killed by police responding to the incident.

They don't usually end with an arrest.

Stupid statement.
