As USF-Yuengling bond grows, is SEC’s alcohol stance slowly shifting?

USF's expanded partnership with Yuengling — including naming rights to the Sun Dome — is only the latest part in an evolving relationship between college sports and alcohol, as my colleague, Joey Knight, wrote on the front page of today's Tampa Bay Times.

So what about the SEC, the only Power Five conference that prohibits the sale of alcohol in its general-seating areas (but allows it in premium seating areas, like club suites)?

The league's stance on alcohol if slowly shifting, too.

At least five SEC programs sell beer or wine during football games. Florida began doing so in 2016.
