Lost power for six hours yesterday...

but we needed the rain so badly I'm not complaining. I swear it has rained a few blocks away but not here during most of the last systems that have moved through.

some significant rains over the weekend (2&quot and the last few days as well. More predicted for today as well. Now it is foggy, humid and just rather uncomfortable out there, which is why I am in here on the computer.

we've been recycling our grey household water to the flower and herb beds and landscape plantings. It has rained all around us but, whenever there has been a major rain event, it goes north or south. We did get about 1/2" on Sunday, then a few showers here and there since then. It has helped, but we are far from recovered.

we don't really have grass but we have herbs and flowers, too. I felt sorry for one of the butterfly bushes so I watered it and some hydrangea.
