Georgia cancels registration of more than 591,500 voters

Georgia cancels registration of more than 591,500 voters
Kristina Torres The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
3:32 p.m Monday, July 31, 2017

“Being made an ‘inactive’ voter has consequence,” said Sean Young, the legal director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia, which on Friday sued Fulton County over the fact that some of the address confirmation notices went to voters who had moved within the same county.

The group says those voters should not face the possibility of being declared “inactive” because state law doesn’t mandate such an action for that particular group of voters. The ACLU said it also believes that goes beyond what’s federally allowed.

“Intimidating and confusing voters with bureaucratic nonsense,” Young said, “is classic voter suppression.”

Trying to get support fro Republican Gov., Greg Abbott. They got my 80 year old mom who told them she wouldn't vote him for dog catcher. She said they were shocked. Knowing her she really let them have it!

We need to mobilize now to combat all of the ways they will cheat. Democratic politicians need to do something to protect our voting systems!

They know they can't win without dirty tricks like this especially after two years of the Trump circus.

The address confirmation procedure requires sending a forwardable notice in the form of a postage-paid and pre-addressed return card, on which the voter may state his or her current address. Additionally, the notice must explain to voters that:

The postcard should be returned no later than the voter registration deadline;
If the postcard is not returned, the voter may be required to confirm the residence address the next time he or she votes; and
If the voter does not vote between the date of the notice and the second federal general election after the date of the notice, his or her name may be removed from the list of eligible voters.

and date of birth and street address. If your neighbor has died and you know that information, you can cast a vote for that person. That is how the dead always voted in Arkansas and Louisiana etc. The dead use absentee votes a lot also. People read the obits and jot down the name, address and birthdate. Check the voter registration and if not registered, send in the info. Bingo another voter for your side.

Cheat, steal. The Republicans cannot win an election for President legitimately.
Last legitimate Republican President was Ike.
