Kaiser Hawaii - no vaccine til March unless over 75 or in privileged class...

so if yer under 75 or not in a special interest group u can forget about a vaccine til March.

when asked if Kaiser would cover a vaccination from another source if it could be found sooner, the answer was no, sorry, u have to wait

Had actually said they were moving to 65, booked appointments, and then canceled them. Other locations, like the county sites, were saying until yesterday they couldn’t vaccinate Kaiser patients even if they were in the tier the county had moved to. That Kaiser exclusion got reversed yesterday, I think they were told legally they couldn’t refuse Kaiser patients who otherwise qualified.

Not sure why Kaiser seems to be such a mess on this. Supply issues they didn’t anticipate, but if they can’t accommodate their members they should at the very least allow them to get the vaccination elsewhere.

so far. one local medical care provider ran mass vaccinations at a convention center but I think one had to be a member of that group to qualify
