Who should I vote for?

I live in Woodridge, IL, DuPage County. I have no idea who to vote for for Governor or anything else. I haven't been following local news. Who should I vote for, Kennedy or Pritzker? Who for attorney general? Any other statewide initiatives? Lieutenant Gov?

I'm embarrassed that I'm so uninformed.

you should have been inundated with commercials, postcard mailings and incessant calls from candidates or supporters of candidates for the last couple of months. In fact, Pritzker has been airing TV ads for the last year.

Just today - I've had at least 5 unsolicited phone calls from candidates. I'll be glad when this election is over tomorrow night.

I'm voting for Biss for D-Governor. Chuy Garcia for my Congressman.

Put aside the blah blah blah and Kennedy, Biss, and Pritzker are all good. Any one will be a huge upgrade over Ruiner.

I like Pritzker but really only because of his money. That will negate Ruiner's money.

I am very strongly for JB Pritzker. Not just for his money, but for the things he has done privately for Illinois kids.

But I will strongly support any of our three candidates for governor over either one on the other side.

As for "I'm not in charge" Rauner, he still can't figure out who he is running against. And his very dark negative ads striking out at anyone are horrible. He IS the worst sitting governor in the country followed closely by Walker to the north.

He long ago admitted he was wrong on pensions . You have to go deeper than the ads sometimes.

Biss didn't win me over and JB's hip deep in Illinois politics that have been crap for decades.

I'll back JB in the GE, no question, but in the Primary I threw in behind Kennedy.

Are you in Roskam's district? If not, what is your Congressional District?

I started out as an "anyone but Pritzger" person. I was wanting to support Chris Kennedy very badly, because I think (and still think) he is a good guy. But watching 3 debates and considering other factors, I've begun to relent. In each debate, Pritzker has seemed the most composed and detailed in his policy prescriptions and knowledge. Kennedy and Biss both have seemed not quite ready for prime time, in different ways. And my main goal is to unseat Rauner.

I'm sour on Biss also because of a personal bias: his endorsement from "Our Revolution," a group that I consider to be disruptive of the Democratic agenda. I also think he's too young and too ambitious. I don't think he'd hold up well.

I like Kennedy, but he has some performative flaws that I also feel uncomfortable about in a general election.

So that leaves me with Pritzger. I'm trying to overcome my distaste for his being another billionaire candidate. But he does have a long record of service to communities and the party. He does have the means to match Rauner. He is endorsed by Senators Durbin and Duckworth, whom I respect, as well as the Teacher's union and a host of other organizations.

I think any of the three will be a huge improvement over Rauner, but I don't think Rauner's unpopularity is to be taken for granted in the fall. I think I will (somewhat reluctantly) vote for Pritzger. My husband is still on the fence and may vote for Kennedy. That absolves us as a couple for any responsibility, since we will cancel each other's votes!

democratic voted for Biss. We are Jewish and I think it's the Jewish middle class math teacher thing that got him. He definetely isn't an "our revolution person" (I am) He voted for Hillary and not Bernie. He also was a big fan of Mark Kirk.
