A buzzer-beater at any level is exciting. At a middle school game? That's just incredible.
Webster City (Iowa) Middle School trailed Clear Lake (Iowa) Middle School 32-30 with a few seconds left on Monday. After Clear Lake missed a shot, a Webster City defender grabbing the rebound and passed it off to Taylor McKinney.
McKinney dribbled to mid-court and launched a shot as she crossed the mid-court line.

My sister hated playing it (in the 70's). She wanted to play full court like the boys.
Hard to believe Iowa kept it going until the 90's.

We played 6 on 6 when I was in school. I still feel cheated. *grump*
You should see my 12 y.o. daughter handle a ball. It's like a different world these days.

Some of the most fun nights and afternoons I ever spent were watching my kids play middle school girls basketball. Believe me folks, there is nothing - and I mean nothing - comparable to middle school girls basketball. You will see plays there you will never see anywhere else.
