Bloomberg Politics hires Jennifer Jacobs

Jacobs, an Iowa native, has spent 12 years with the Des Moines Register, becoming one of the preeminent political reporters in the state.
Jacobs is moving to Washington for the position as senior reporter, which she will start early next month. In a memo announcing the news, Bloomberg executive editor and Washington bureau chief Megan Murphy said Jacobs will report directly to John Geddes, who was hired in November to manage all of Bloomberg's political coverage.
