Muscy Council votes to oust mayor

This is total insanity. Muscatine as a city is destroying itself in order to retain the good old boy power structure.
The 7 male city council voted unanimously to bring charges against the female mayor. What charges they won't say and probably haven't even made them up yet.

Their problem is that she is a democrat. There is a ton of Republican money in Muscatine.

it's the home of Dave Stanley. You may have heard of him. Muscatine has some huge worldwide industries in town. But the city is not the kind of place I would want to live and this just adds to the bad image.

When I was born so many years back, Muscatine and Iowa City were about the same size. Muscatine was becoming an indutrial center, Iowa City the education hub. You can see how that has turned out.
