Documentary about Gatewood Galbraith tonight in Lexington

I wanted to share this in case anyone was interested.

'Gatewood'

What: Screening of a short documentary about the 1995 gubernatorial campaign of Gatewood Galbraith by filmmaker Chris Iovenko. There will be a Q&A with the filmmaker after the screening.

When: 9 p.m. June 14

I always wished he would get in office. If nothing else, he would have been interesting.

... had he gone to DC, would have been the most loved person on the Hill. He had a congeniality about him, a kindness, that made everyone feel special. A rare bird he was. Think how happy he would be to know that two states has legalized the use of Mary Jane. Did KY vote to legalize the growth of hemp in the state? (I lost track of that.)

I would have preferred him over most of the people that have ended up representing KY in DC. He was an interesting guy.

The industrial hemp bill did pass but it doesn't really do anything unless the federal government legalizes it.

That's the stupidest law we have on the books. It's a plant, for Pete's sake! I love jute! I use it in my garden, but it is so hard to find.

stuck to a road sign near my house out in the county (aka the country) I pass everyday on my way to town..
its slowly starting to show age and weathering...
sometimes makes me sad. a constant reminder of death.
