Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says 'inaction is deadly' on state's deadliest day of the pandemic

Wednesday marked Kentucky's deadliest day on record with 37 new COVID-19 related deaths, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said during a press conference.

The previous record was set Tuesday with 35 deaths.

"We're losing a record number of people," Beshear said.

He also said the federal and state databases are "struggling to keep up" because of the influx of cases.

Beshear reported 3,601 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the state's sixth-highest daily increase on record, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in Kentucky to 186,765. Of the cases reported Wednesday, 379 are people age 18 and under.

Just think if we still had Matt Bevin for gov our number of covid cases might look more like Tennessee than what we have. I think they have 3 or 4 times the cases we have.
