Trump claims, without evidence, that he 'saved' Mitch McConnell from losing reelection bid

As his apparent ire with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell continues to grow, President Donald Trump claimed Thursday night, without any evidence, that he "saved" the Kentucky Republican from losing his recent reelection bid.

"I saved at least 8 Republican Senators, including Mitch, from losing in the last Rigged (for President) Election," Trump wrote in a Christmas Eve tweet . "Now they (almost all) sit back and watch me fight against a crooked and vicious foe, the Radical Left Democrats. I will NEVER FORGET!"

Trump falsely claimed that the election he lost was rigged. He also did not specify who the other seven Republican senators were that he "saved" in their respective elections.

McConnell spokespeople did not immediately respond to request for comment Thursday evening.

Moscow Mitch's re-election does seem numerically unlikely given the polls before the election. Squinch Dec 2020 #2

if there was any fraud in the election, trump is likely telling us it was committed for McConnell and the 7 others (Lindsey graham?).
